What does an ABS cylinder overhaul involve?
There are numerous options, always ‘tailor-made’. Exactly what we do depends on the need and the condition of the cylinder to be overhauled.
This may involve a total ‘refurbishment’, where a cylinder that is still working well is given a whole new, second life. If this is not at all necessary, we opt for a limited, practical overhaul. The options in a comprehensive overhaul of a hydraulic cylinder:

• Ceramic coating
• Piston rod chrome plating or dechromating
• Stroke lengthening/shortening
• Cylinder tube honing (in-house production)
• Repainting
• Upgrade of sealing principle
• Archiving/documenting existing designs on drawings
